About Mai

Hey everyone! Welcome to my humble blog.

My name is Maisarah. I am 26 years old and have been married to my husband, Mohamad Hafizuddin, since 18th December, 2016. I am also a new mother to my beautiful boy, Abdullah Fahim. I love to explore topics on relationships, healthy lifestyle changes, minimalism and just improving life in general in all aspects. My posts are written from my personal views, as well as my perspective as a wife and family counsellor.

I hold a degree in English for Professional Communication from UiTM Shah Alam, and a Master’s degree in Family Counselling from USIM. I am also a Licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and have also gone through Paul Ekman’s training on Emotional Skills and Competencies (ESaC) and Evaluating Truthfulness and Credibility (ETaC) – all under NaviGo NLP Centre. Oh, and I’m a bookworm.

As a writer, I’ve been seriously writing since I was fourteen, in 2006. My peak was when I was sixteen, churning out 15,000 words a night as I worked on my novels and stories. I really, really need to find my muse to reach that level again. But I’ve been a storyteller since I was four. I do expect to compile my writing into several downloadable e-books as this blog continues to grow, so look out for that.

In terms of this blog, I like to write about lessons in life. I am newly married which comes with a lot of lessons learned that I’d like to capture in writing early on. I’ve made wonderful and terrible decisions in life so far. I’ve managed finances poorly, and managed them well. All this, I believe, comes with lessons learned that I think we can all share and laugh and cry about.

I am also a speaker, and have been invited to several programs and forums to give talks on motivation and self-improvement. Most of the events I have joined are related to leadership development, team building, communication skills and motivation.

Have fun reading!
